Croppin the Night Away!

OKAY Sistas! Our next group crop will be held Friday night September 25th and in the spirit of football.....are you ready to rumble?...OOOppps that's not football.....anyways are you ready?

Our crop will begin at 6:00pm and end when the last woman drops......Please bring a friend to share in the food and fun.....as a matter of fact, the more friends you bring the better your chances to win "The Scrappin Sista Stash!" What is the SS Stash you ask? Well let's just say you will not be disappointed, it's colorful and you will use it (them) in your scrapbooks or on a cute project.......So, pile your girlfriends up in the car and head to Funkie Munkie Scraps for a scrappin good time!!!

September Class!!

July 7th Class

Hello Ladies,
Thanks for your participation and energy in tonight's class. I truly appreciated it since...I didn't have any! ha...To those of you who missed it.....we worked on incorporating "tags" as an element to our double page layout....simple enough, but something to make you go huummmm? I am sooo excited to see what Karen comes up with for the challenge this month! Remember she is the challenge winner for June. Just scroll down to see her award winning layout! This month's class is July 7th....yes next Tuesday at Funkie Munkie Scraps from 6:30-8:30...don't forget to bring your basic supplies and your pictures for a complete layout! As soon as we finalize a date for the July crop I we will let you know.....but with CHA, there may not be a crop, but a party in August.....Hmmmmm?...I don't know....we shall see!

Entry #4 Karen. Congratulations to Karen who made this black , white and red layout for her son. Here are the pictures of her layout. Look for more items of Karen's scrappin style coming this month! Karen gets the title of Savvy Scrapper for the month of June, gets the opportunity to create the layout for the next challenge and receives $10 in Munkie Munie! Congrats to Karen way to go!

I Just Love Glitz Design

Our class lastnight was a blast! We worked on embossing techniques using both wet and dry methods. We used templates, embossing folders and various powders and inks! Again, we had a great time, and I think everyone at least learned something!!

Update on club information!

Hello everyone, sorry it has been a while since our last post! We have been busy getting our club off the ground.
We are getting ready to post our very first online challenge! Watch in the coming days as we post the challenge contestants and you get to vote on your favorite. The post will go up on Friday at 11:00 am EST and will end on Sunday 6-14 at 11:00 am EST and the winner will be announced Sunday afternoon.
The challenge was issued for the colors RED, Black and White. That was all that they could use, so take in consideration the best use of the colors, creativity with the page and generally which one you like best. You may only vote 1 time so please tell your friends to stop by and vote as well. The winner of the challenge will be our "featured scrapper" for the month of June, will get to design the next month's challenge and will receive $10 in munkie munie! So help them out and give them your vote.

Activites for the month of May!

Okay Ladies here is the Skinny! We have one class scheduled this month and it will be on May 19th from 6:30-8:30 at Funkie Munkie Scraps of course and A Savvy Scrappin Sistas crop on Saturday evening May 30th from 7-12 am!

As promised this months featured product is BO BUNNY!!! All Bo Bunny products in the store are 35% off JUST FOR YOU....just for being a MEMBER! Now....that is just cooooool! Oh yeah before I forget...in the class we be creating an awesome two page layout! I will provide a sketch and a sample...and walk you through the steps....with the end result being a funkie.... fun....layout!

and also let me not forget.....as annouced in the group flyer.....we will issue a challenge in class.....This month will be a "color" challenge! Details will be explained in class....and the winner of the challenge will get bragging rights...a little somethin somethin...and the opportunity to offer the next challenge!!!! You Ladies Done me Proud

11...yes 11 was the last count (I have...) for the number of ladies that have signed up to be a part of the Savvy Scrappin Sistas Group at Funkie Munkie Scraps!! I want to take the time NOW to thank and congratulate each of you...... THANK YOU for joining the group and CONGRATULATIONS for joining the Best and the Hottest Local Scrapbooking group in the Southeast!....Okay...so I'm a little bias....but this group promises to be inspiring, innovating and motivating...to help you be the best you... you can be ....as a scrapbooker!
I also want to thank all the ladies that trusted me to 'attempt" the Make and Take this week-end! Some of you shared with me that this layout was "definitely" outside of the box for you and outside of your comfort zone...but you did it ANYHOW! Thanks....

Please be patient as we now plan out the schedule of events for the Group! As we stated in club information..we will be meeting at least once a month and having a crop once a month, however the specifics have yet to be planned...we will consider all information you submitted on the sign up sheet and come up with a consenus to meet the needs of the group as a whole! The good news is...school will be out soon and my schedule will be somewhat more flexible to accommodate your needs.....Til Next time!
